After a lecture about wildlife that the guide will give you, we will get in a vehicle and start searching for wildlife in the night-time forest. It will be an unforgettable experience when you find the creature’s glowing eyes in the dark.

Try Finding Animals with a Light!

On Picchio Shiretoko's Night Safari Tour, we'll provide everyone with a light to help you search for animals! Our guide will explain how to spot animals in the dark, making it fun and exciting to look for wildlife. By the end of the tour, you might just become a pro at animal spotting! *Lights will be given to those seated by the windows. We aim to seat everyone by the windows, but depending on the number of reservations, some may need to sit in the center. Our guide will ensure everyone has a great view of the animals regardless of their seat.
Free Binocular Rental by Carl Zeiss

We provide free Carl Zeiss binoculars to all participants. Even in the dark, you can clearly see animals when illuminated by the light. Use the binoculars to observe the animals' faces and bodies in detail. You'll make many fascinating discoveries!

Join our popular "Night Safari Tour" in a private setting exclusively for your group. Recommended for families with children aged 3 and under or those who prefer a private tour

Eligibility: Participants must be 2 years or older. We provide child seats and junior seats for preschool and elementary school children. For safety reasons, children under 1 year old are not allowed to participate.
Capacity: 8 people per guide
Reservations: Online Reservations: Available 24/7. Please book at least 2 hours before the tour starts.
Phone Reservations: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. If staff are unavailable, please leave your name and message on the answering machine, and we will get back to you as soon as we return from the tour.

It is strongly recommended to wear long trousers to prevent minor injuries.

Please note that encounters with wildlife are not 100% guaranteed.

Please come to the agreed place on time. If you are late on the day, we might cancel you so that the other guests can go on tour.

We watch wildlife from the inside of our vehicles.

Depending on natural conditions, the end time may vary slightly. Please join our tours with time to spare.

The tour will be conducted in case of light rain. Please prepare rain wear. If the tour is cancelled due to sever weather, we will let you know 1 hour before the supposed starting time.

There is no restroom available in the field. Please keep this in mind before starting the tour.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation is free up to 2 days before the tour. After 2 days a cancellation fee of 20 % of the tour cost will be charged if you cancel 2 days before the tour, 50 % if you cancel the day before and the full tour cost if you cancel on the day of the tour.
